Cabbagetown is an Atlanta neighborhood located south of Inman Park, east of Oakland Cemetery, north of Grant Park and west of Reynoldstown. Cabbagetown District, a historic district listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, is included in the Cabbagetown neighborhood. Cabbagetown was originally a mill town that was built in order to house the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill workers. The cotton mill has now been turned into lofts. Cabbagetown is now home to shotgun houses, restored bungalows, restaurants, churches and arts shops. Annual events in Cabbagetown include the Cabbagetown Reunion Festival (June) and the Cabbagetown Chomp & Stomp Chili Cook-off and Festival (November).
